Setting up Trezor Suite for the first time is easy. Here's how to begin:
If you're setting up a new Trezor (Model T or One), unbox the device and connect it to your computer using the USB cable. Follow on-device prompts to initialize the hardware wallet. You'll be asked to create a new wallet and securely write down your recovery seed — a 12 or 24-word phrase used to restore your wallet if the device is lost or damaged.
Download and install the Trezor Suite application for your operating system. Once installed, launch the app. The software will automatically detect your connected device and guide you through the remaining setup process.
During setup, you’ll create a PIN on your Trezor device. This ensures that only you can access your wallet. Optionally, you can add a passphrase for added security — this creates a hidden wallet that is only accessible with the correct passphrase input.
